Fire Essential's 76mm Euro Profile Stainless Steel Sashlocks with Intumescent Pads and 70mm Euro Profile Cylinder and Thumb Turn are essential for any stainless steel hardware designs that are fitted into bathrooms and other areas that require that extra bit of privacy.
Many fire-rated ironmongery products require intumescent to be fitted as standard (to validate the Certifire certification).|To install, fit one pad under each hinge leaf for FD30 and two under each leaf for FD60.|It is a legal requirement for hardware fitted to fire resisting doors to be CE marked. This ensures, in the case of any legal claim, that the best quality hardware has been fitted. When the hinges shown as being CE Marked are included in a fire-resisting test they are fitted to the door and frame with intumescent pads under each leaf.
You should fit these intumescent pads under any CE marked hinges to comply with the marking requirements. Failure to comply and fit intumescent pads in these circumstances will negate the installation. Ref Lock L1C1 i see it is fire rated. My insurance had me change my locks to 5 lever mortice kite Marked as it is a shop.I now have to change these to thumb turn re the fire requirements.Would these meet the same standard and could you advise please' Regards Dudley Long

The Sashlock and Cylinder in this pack are CE marked, tested to BS EN 12209:2003 etc.

Does this lock fit a slimline 35 mm thick fire door?

While we can not comment on the suitability of the product for the fire door (the fire door manufacturer will dictate the fire requirements of the ironmongery), as far as fitting it the dimensions are as follows:
Face of the lock (the width of the plate that shows in the edge of the door once fitted) is approx. 26mm
The body of the lock assembly (the part that fits inside the door) is approx 20mm.
