What is D&G (Dowelled & Glued)

  • A dowelled and glued door means pieces of dowel are glued and inserted into holes. Dowelled and Glued Doors are a simple glued construction that are suitable for Internal use or in external locations where they are not exposed to the elements.

  • Not recommended for exposed locations. Wooden exterior doors must be protected by a canopy or awning. LPD internal and external doors are manufactured using engineered component parts, all with a view to providing a product that offers a solid feel, but with the advantages that engineering brings in terms of greater strength and stability. Engineered doors are faced with veneers and matching lippings.

Does this door open in two parts like a traditional stable door?

That is correct, you can have the top or bottom opening or both at the same time, customer tend to order a bolt to link both doors together. 

Question:

Can i reduce doors top and bottom by 70mm without reducing the integrity of the doors

Answer:

Unfortunately these doors can not be adjusted in height and it would not be possible to source these doors in custom sizes.
