Description

Did you know that many fire rated ironmongery products require intumescent pads to be fitted as standard? It's no wonder. Fitted behind the hinges on a fire-rated door, intumescent hinge pads expand when heated, maintaining the integrity of the door to give extra protection should a fire break out.

So get the high-quality ball bearing hinges for your fire door and ensure they're fully protected too, with this kit that gives you everything you need. The number of intumescent hinge pads used is dependent upon the fire rating of the door. Fit one pad under each hinge leaf for FD30 and two for FD60. This product is also CE marked, which is a legal requirement for hardware on fire resisting doors.

  • Contains three 76 x 51 x 2mm Grade 13 ball bearing hinges
  • Contains six 75 x 25mm intumescent hinge pads
  • Fire test - BS476 part 22 & BS EN1634
  • FD30/60 fire rating
  • CE Marked

Please note:

  • Many fire rated ironmongery products require intumescent to be fitted as standard to validate the Certifire certification. Certifire is a Third-Party Certification scheme encompassing compliance with British or European Standards, Fire test performance and Quality Assurance to ensure that the product certificated provides an acceptably high quality of performance.
  • It is a legal requirement for hardware fitted to fire resisting doors to be CE marked. This ensures, in the case of any legal claim, that the best quality hardware has been fitted. When the hinges shown as being CE Marked are included in a fire resisting test they are fitted to the door and frame with intumescent pads under each leaf. You should fit these intumescent pads under any CE marked hinges to comply with the marking requirements. Failure to comply and fit intumescent pads in these circumstances will negate the installation.
