This Heavy-Duty Fire-Rated Tubular Mortice Latch with Intumescent Pad Kit from Fire Essentials supplies you with everything you need to make your fire door latch ready for Certifire certification. Intumescent strips are fitted to door parts, latches, and hinges, so that, in the event of a fire, they expand to close any edges or gaps to help seal the door and prevent the spread of the flames and smoke. Many fire rated ironmongery products require them to be fitted as standard. The intumescent strips are easy to install, just peel them and apply them with their adhesive layer. For an FD30 rating apply one, for an FD 60 rating apply two.
This kit contains one heavy duty tubular mortice latch, which is available in two sizes, 65 mm and 75 mm, a strike plate, and the corresponding intumescent pads. The product is CE Marked and approved with fire test regulations BS476 part 22 and BC EN1634.
