The Thames 5 panel door from JB Kind is constructed with a top layer of MEDITE TRICOYA EXTREME featuring a grooved cottage style panel effect. The 1 light Pilkington clear glass double glazed unit ensures privacy while allowing light into your home.

1 light Pilkington clear glass double glazed unit, allowing light in whilst maintaining privacy.

Pre-finished in white. Suitable to over paint if desired.

Finishers

Be sure to select a finisher with a lasting seal between component parts. Please avoid water based finishers, using only good quality solvent based finishers. Danish oil is not suitable for use on any of our doors.

Material Composition

  • Constructed with an exceptionally durable and dimensionally stable top layer of MEDITE TRICOYA EXTREME ensures the doors can withstand all weathers and to illustrate just how confident we are, we issue every External Extreme door with a 10 year guarantee! The glazing used within the External Extreme range also matches the quality and durability of MEDITE TRICOYA EXTREME, as all the doors have Pilkington double glazed units. Thermally efficient, many of the doors within the External Extreme range are Part 'L'compliant, as well as FSC accredited.

Storage

  • When receiving door it should be laid flat fully supported off the floor in a dry and fully ventilated area with protective packaging intact. Doors supplied unfinished should be thoroughly sealed on all faces and edges prior to any installation work.

Installation

  • Easily fitted in a day by a competent joiner into an existing or new wooden door frame, the doors are issued factory finished and ready to use. There is no requirement to paint or varnish the face of the doors but it is imperative that any planed edges are resealed immediately. Ensuring that the fitting guidelines issued with the doors are followed will make certain the doors perform exceptionally.

  • FSC Certified: The Forest Stewardship Council is an independent organisation that supports the responsible management of forests worldwide. Wood that is FSC Certified meets The Forest Stewardship Council standard that is recognised globally.
  • Compliant with Part 'L' building regulations, 'U' Value 1.6.

Please note:

  • Because all doors are manufactured differently, please follow the individual instructions that come with each door.
  • Height adjustment must only be made from the top of the door, to a maximum of 5mm from each side. Width adjustment must be made equally from the sides of the door, to a maximum of 5mm from each side.

Either and Oak or Hardwood frame could be used for this door. XL Joinery Oak - ODFC33 2067mm x 926mm. XL Joinery Hardwood DFC33 2067mm x 926mm.
