Supplied factory rebated RHBO, which means the right-hand side pushes open when you're facing the doors from the inside, these oak external front doors from Mendes are manufactured from FSC-certified hardwood through engineered construction methods.

Due to the probability that these French Pattern doors will be fitted in an exposed location without protection from a canopy or porch, it is vital that all cut-outs, faces and edges are completely sealed before installation. Regular maintenance should also be carried out. If these precautions are not applied, the appearance and performance of these doors will not be satisfactory.

Please note:

  • Untreated doors must be fully sealed prior to hanging. This applies to all surfaces including bottoms, tops and all recesses cut for letter plates, hinges, handles and locks etc. Waxes and oils are not considered suitable for sealing a door and if used will void any guarantee should the door subsequently fail.
  • To offer additional strength and rigidity, the use of three hinges is recommended.
  • If a door needs to be trimmed, it must be reduced equally from both sides. Each side can be trimmed up to a maximum of 6mm for doors with a lipping of 10mm or more and up to 3mm for doors with a 6mm lipping. Any trimming over the 6mm overall for fire doors will invalidate the FD30 rating.

Hi, I currently have a door lining with internal dimensions of 1170 left to right and 1980 top to bottom will i be able to trim the two doors too suit this opening or will it be too much? Also do you have a similar style door that is primed white. Thankyou

Answer:

These doors can be trimmed by a maximum of 6mm from the width and / or height (3mm per edge). Currently, there is not a white primed option available.

Does the door come with handles and locks, and/or are there pre drilled holes for these?

Answer:

The door comes with no hardware or holes, these will all need to bought separately and be fitted on site.
