Laminate flooring is an incredibly versatile option with all-rounder benefits, which is why it is the most popular type of flooring today. Resembling real materials such as wood, stone, and slate, it comes in a wide variety of colours and finishes. Unlike real wood, it is scratch and spill-resistant and easy to wipe clean. It is also more cost-effective than real wood or stone but looks equally as striking.
Often confused with laminate, vinyl flooring has many similarities because of its beautiful designs that also mimic raw materials as well as durability. It is incredibly comfortable underfoot, and its biggest benefit is that it is fully water-resistant, unlike laminate. This makes vinyl flooring an excellent choice for bathrooms and laundry rooms.
Our wood flooring range can be found in two different types: solid and engineered. But what’s the difference? Solid wood flooring is a singular slab of wood shaped into flooring planks. It can be sanded multiple times in its lifespan, which can be anywhere from 40-100 years if maintained well. Solid wood flooring can be prone to warping, so this is something to bear in mind, but thanks to its naturally rustic appearance, it is perfect for more traditional homes. Engineered wood flooring features a hardwood veneer above layers of plywood. This makes it less prone to warping and gives it more moisture resistance, but it cannot be refinished as often as solid wood flooring due to the thin layers of wood. It is not recommended for use in rooms with high levels of moisture such as bathrooms, where the wood could warp and rot.
LVT, or luxury vinyl tile, is a type of flooring often made from PVC and additional layers underneath to make it durable. It is completely waterproof, resistant to scratches and spills, and does not expand and contract easily. It is perfect for any room, particularly bathrooms and kitchens.
