Two uPVC skins to BS476: part 12 'Method of Test for Ignitability of Products by Direct Flame Impingement' employ a heat and moisture resistant adhesive that pressure bonds them to the CFCs free, E.H.D.F.R.A (extra high-density fire-retardant additive) polystyrene core.
Doors do not need to be open to allow for natural ventilation and airflow thanks to the trickle ventilation feature. The low U Value of 1.3 W/m²K provides heat retention and increases thermal efficiency, while the Class 1 surface spread of flame classification (BS476 part 7) panels and the toughened glass (Kitemark BS6206) advance security and safety. Security is even further improved with the multipoint locking system, where the door has a number of bolts that seal it securely.
