This door system is provided with intumescent strips, the manufacturers advise that they would recommend using the strips supplied only. There is no need to apply additional strips / seals.

Can the fire rated pocket doors be fitted with some sort of self closing device ?

Answer:

Yes, these systems will be supplied self-closing to comply with fire regulations.
