Whether you require a letter plate finish that will blend in with the finish of your door or wish to create a striking decorative feature, this range comes in a number of high-quality finishes that will complement an array of styles.

With its 10 inch (254mm) aperture, the Nu Zinc Mid-Rail Mail Letter Plate from Fab & Fix meets standard BS EN13724, meaning it is large enough to receive delivery of standard-sized mail items. Its anti-snap flap opens to 180? to accommodate large items, such as heavy newspapers and is fully sprung to ensure the flap does not break when under strain.

The Fab & Fix Nu Zinc Mid-Rail Mail Letter Plate is fully weather-sealed to prevent rainwater or cold drafts from entering your home. If you live on a busy road or a block of flats, this letter plate also possesses excellent acoustic insulation properties, blocking out external noise pollution.

This mid-rail version is quick and easy to install and includes 2 x M5 x 45mm machine screws, 2 x M5 x 63mm machine screws, 2 x M5 x 74mm machine screws and two screw guides. Its secure through-fixing ensures the letter plate can only be removed from the inside of your home, preventing burglars from gaining access to the lock through the letter plate.

Maintenance

  • It is recommended that you routinely clean your external door hardware products to maintain their quality finish and high-end appearance. Moving parts within the mechanism should also be lightly lubricated at least twice a year, particularly if installed in properties within 25 miles of coastal or large industrial areas. More regular cleaning and aftercare may be required in such locations due to the build-up of corrosive contaminants.

Is this suitable for fire door - is there a small curve at the bottom where the flap closes Do you have any other photos of this product -

Answer:

These letterplates are not suitable for fire doors. There are two small finger catches on the bottom edge of the letterplate for opening.
