INSTALLATION:
The closer should be fitted vertically to the door jamb, on the hinged side of the door. Note: position the arm centrally over a solid part of the door. The arrow on the central boss should point away from the door. To protect the door, the slide plate needs to be fixed on the door for the arm to slide along.
Recommended: create pilot holes before fixing
SETTING THE TENSION:
To set the tension, turn the central boss in the opposite direction to the arrow. Note: beware of over tensioning as this may cause the door to slam, causing injury or may damage the spring. Using the arm and steel bar supplied, rotate the central boss away from the door. Locate the hole nearest the door and screw in the arm. Rotate and insert the steel bar into the next available hole. Repeat the operation, one hole at a time, until the required tension is achieved.
