What is a turn and release?

Turn and release sets are specifically designed for bathroom doors with door handles and door knobs on a rose. Situated beneath the door handle, the simple turn and release mechanism for locking and unlocking bathroom doors provides privacy to the occupant. For added safety, should immediate access to the bathroom be needed from outside in an emergency, most turn and release doors have an emergency point which can be used to unlock the door using a coin or flat headed screwdriver. Available in a variety of finishes, turn and release locks can easily be matched to your specific door handle or door knob finish.
