What is a lid stay?
Lid stays offer controlled movement and a more basic solution which is ideal for a single panel door and available in a series of finishes.
Why use cabinet stays?
Stays offer freedom of movement, and creatively challenge space constraints, by varying the opening geometry so that the type of opening is geared to the amount of available space or the intended application.
What force will I need to select?
Use the table below to find out which force of stay you will need. All you need to know is the dimensions, weight of the lid and your desired opening angle. Firstly, find your lid height then work down the table until you find the correct maximum load baring weight that the stay would need to support. Then when you find a compatible weight for the lid height, move across to discover the force you will require. The results will vary for the differing opening angle required.
