Description

The Dynasty pocket door cassettes are supplied ready pre-assembled for stud and plasterboard inner walls and designed to accommodate a pair of sliding doors.

This kit contains all the parts required to create a double pocket door system housing a pair of sliding doors (one on left and one on right). This includes two single pocket door systems and a double leaf conversion kit which contains a double top rail connector and two spacers. 

• High quality modern system that allows two internal doors (not included) to slide into a pocket in the wall cavity
• The kit is particularly suitable for small rooms that require a wide walk through opening, areas where you will need to save space and for spaces where traditional doors may not be suitable
• The rigid cassette framing system is supplied pre-assembled saving time on site installation compared to flat pack options
• Allows doors between 35mm-45mm thick to be installed with a finished wall of 125mm      
• Timber accessory Trim Finishing Pack is available with this system (just select from the extras drop down menu). This contains softwood trim, covers and seals that are required to finish your installed system.
• This system allows you to easily change your installed doors in the future without structural alteration to the wall
• Recommended system if you wish to separate rooms such as a lounge and a dining room through a large single opening. This enables these rooms to become either a unique large space or two private rooms 
• Simple installation - this kit can be fitted in little time compared to unassembled models
• Door is fitted after installation of cavity system to avoid damaging door
• Soft close 'damper' unit for a smooth closing action is available for this system (2 units required, sold separately here)

Pocket doors are designed to remove the unusable space within buildings. By removing the footprint created by traditional hinged doors, users can make the most of their space. 

Cavity pocket door systems are ideal for en suites, living rooms, corridors, bathrooms and office spaces.

HOW DO I CONNECT MY TWO CASSETTES TO MAKE A PAIR?

Using the supplied double leaf link kit you can easily connect two single door counter frames and transform them into a double pocket door for a pair of sliding doors.

Each kit contains 1 x top rail cross piece connector section and 2 x spacers. These parts are all that are necessary in order to connect your two cassettes.

There are technical and practical advantages of using this kit for two cassettes over using a simple link-up sheet. 

Firstly, joining two single crosspieces through a link up sheet will often result in a larger than required passage width meaning you cannot install standard door widths and may require made to measure doors at a higher cost. 

Secondly, re-instating the two single crosspieces size to the correct one means it would be necessary to cut the cross pieces and the guides whilst making holes for the join. This can be imprecise and time consuming, especially if done on a building site. 

These technical and practical problems do not occur as the kit is supplied in the right size and does not require any additional work. 

TRIM FINISHING PACK

We can also supply a pocket door softwood timber trim pack for completing, sealing and finishing your pocket door system for use. 

This pack includes: 

4 x Cover moulds with brush seals

4 x Header covers for top track

2 x Jamb with seals (seals come joined and must be carefully split to insert into grooves, see images for illustration)

Pack of wooden dowels for fixing

SOFT CLOSE 'DAMPER' UNIT

Also known as a 'soft-closing system', this small accessory applies a brake which ensures the door moves slowly and smoothly to a close.

Helps to avoid unwanted door slams and prevents damage to surrounding door frame

Kit contains: 1 x slow spring, 1 x attachment bracket and fixing screws

GROOVING YOUR DOOR:

Door grooving is required prior to fitting your chosen door to the pocket door system and is when the bottom edge of the door is grooved to fit in the floor guide of a pocket door.
