Technical Information

Material composition: Solid core doors are solid from front to back. Made from wood by-products, solid core doors are dense, heavy and withstand more punishment than hollow core doors. The typical solid core door is a mixture of wood particles glued together with heat, resins and hydraulic pressure to produce a uniform, consistent product. Moulded wood fibre face with softwood stiles and rails Heavyweight flax board core.

Installation: Internal doors should not be installed in areas with recent plastered, screeded or wet sites. All of our doors including those pre-finished, should not be exposed to inappropriate damp site conditions.

Trim: Each door is supplied with a 5mm trim option on all four edges.

Storage: When receiving door it should be laid flat fully supported off the floor in a dry and fully ventilated area with protective packaging intact. Doors supplied unfinished should be thoroughly sealed on all faces and edges prior to any installation work.

Finishers: These doors are fully finished and ready to hang. You may need to decorate the edges if you need to trim. In that case you can use the touch up paint provided with the door.
