Please note:

  • If a door needs to be trimmed, it must be reduced equally from both sides. Each side of a door can be trimmed up to a maximum of 3mm for doors with a 6mm lipping and up to 6mm for doors with a lipping of 10mm or more. Any trimming over the 6mm total for fire doors will invalidate the FD30 rating.
  • The use of three hinges is recommended for extra strength and rigidity.
  • Untreated doors must be completely sealed before hanging. This applies to all surfaces including tops, bottoms and all recesses cut for letter plates, hinges, handles and locks etc. Oil and waxes are not considered suitable for sealing a door and will invalidate any guarantee if used and the door subsequently fails.
