These external hardwood doors from Mendes combine several solid materials and finishes to produce a durable front door, ideal for a range of styles. This design of external door is made using superior engineered construction with solid hardwood lippings and a thick hardwood veneer. Supplied unfinished, these doors are ready for your own choice of paint, glazing, or other finishes. These durable external doors are also made using FSC-certified materials and come with a 10-year manufacturer's guarantee.

Please note:

  • All hardwood external doors should be protected from direct sun and rain.
  • If a door needs to be trimmed it must be reduced equally from both sides. Each side of a door may be trimmed up to a maximum of 6mm for doors with a lipping of 10mm or more, and 3mm for doors with a 6mm lipping. Please note any trimming over the 6mm overall for the fire doors will invalidate the FD30 rating.
  • We recommend the use of 3 hinges to offer more rigidity and strength.
  • Untreated products must be fully sealed before hanging - this applies to all surfaces including tops, bottoms and all recesses cut for hinges, locks, handles and letter plates etc.
  • Waxes and oils are not considered suitable for sealing a door and if used will invalidate any guarantee should the door subsequently fail.
