What is Mortise & Tenon

  • Mortise and Tenon is a type of construction joint that is made up of two parts. It is used to connect two pieces of wood, the tenon is the peg, and the mortise is the slot in which the tenon is inserted into. Mortise and Tenon constructed doors are one of the strongest type of joints and are ideal for exposed environments and can last longer without having to be regularly treated.

Hi! Unfortunately, shortening the door to this height would compromise its integrity. Therefore, you would need to look at a bespoke option for this height.

Question:

Do you sell this door with clear glazing already fitted? If not, how do I go about fitting glazing myself? Is it one sheet or do I need 9 pieces of glass?

Answer:

The door is supplied unglazed. For glass fitting requirements you would need to refer to an appropriate fitter.
