If a door needs to be trimmed it must be reduced equally from both sides. Each side of a door may be trimmed up to a maximum of 6mm for doors with a lipping 10mm or more, and 3mm for doors with a 6mm lipping. Please note any trimming over the 6mm overall for the fire doors will invalidate the FD30 rating.
We recommend the use of 3 hinges to offer more rigidity and strength.
Untreated products must be fully sealed prior to hanging – this applies to all surfaces including tops, bottoms and all recesses cut for hinges, locks, handles and letter plates etc. Waxes and oils are not considered suitable for sealing a door and if used will invalidate any guarantee should the door subsequently fail.

Hi , I have 2 doors to do in a country pub but they are very short doors at 1820mm in the height so can these be cut down without it affecting the door too much
Answer:
Unfortunately, trimming to this height would go well beyond the advised trimming tolerance, which can cause damage do the structural integrity of the door (whilst voiding the warranty). Unfortuntely, the external doors are not offered in custom sizes. We would advise looking into seeing if the current opening height can be extended to acommodate the doors.
