Flush Fire Doors

Flush fire doors enable you to retain your home’s style, whilst offering the practicality of a fire door. This means you can meet building regulations without compromising on the overall look and feel of your property.

It’s important to have fire doors throughout your home for many reasons. These include preventing the spread of fire and smoke, protecting your home, family and valuables and giving you more time to get out without injuries in case of fire. At Door Superstore we stock a range of fire doors to suit you and your home.

Our flush fire doors are incredibly popular with all following the FD30 standard. This means they offer at least 30 minutes of protection against fires. For reassurance, flush fire doors have been independently tested to ensure they meet all fire door criteria before being awarded the FD30 standard rating.

Choose from traditional oak and walnut flush fire doors, simple minimalistic white doors or a range of more modern and contemporary designs. This includes grooved flush doors and vertical panel doors which come in a range of colours like white and light grey, as well as ash grey and charcoal. Alternatively, you can choose an unfinished door to add the finishing touches and decide on the finished colour or varnish yourself to add a personal touch to your home.

When fitting fire doors, make sure to install the correct fire rated hardware too. This will be anything from fire rated frames to handleshinges and latches. Without the correct fire rated hardware, fire doors will not perform to the required standard. We recommend getting a professional to ensure your flush fire door is fitted well for safer performance.

It's also worth noting Building Regulations state that new builds must have fire rated doors to allow an exit path from the building in case of fire. This is an exception when it comes to single storey homes due to windows being exit routes. If you have a two storey home with an internal door that leads to an integral garage, this internal door must be fire rated. Additionally, if your home is three storeys or more (including loft conversions), each door leading to the stairwell must be a fire door.
